Pros: Bigger screens than the regular Nintendo DSi, make both reading and gaming easier. Improved viewing angle for people around you. Big, fun game library. Stylish and well constructed. Better battery life.
Cons: The increased size of the screens can make some game images seem a little fuzzy. Some people report this as being a bit bulky for a truly handheld console.
The Bottom Line: This is larger version of the Nintendo DSi. It has two 4.2 inch screens compared to the two 3.25 inch screen of the regular DSi. Information & Specification for the Nintendo DSi XL Handheld Console
As well as the increased screen size, and therefore overall size of the console, the DSi XL has improved battery life over the original. The speakers are now housed in larger containers and this makes the DSi XL even louder than the DSi. It is available in the following colours in the UK - Bronze, Burgundy, Midnight Blue and Green. Other countries have their own exclusive colour schemes.
