Pros: Good quality of both unit and picture. Picks up many more channels in addition to the regular Freesat content. Great value.
Cons: No batteries supplied with the remote control.
The Bottom Line: This is a very good value FTA receiver that should find many more channels than the Freesat ones. Whilst it doesn't offer HD content, which is to be expected at this price point, it more than makes up for this with the amount of extra TV and music channels it can pick up, and not just from the the ASTRA satellite system.

Signal reception is very good on this box, especially when it's compared to more expensive alternatives. There is a RF Modulator which allows you to feed the output of the Philex to another room, using regular arial cable. In the box you will also find a remote control, but as mentioned, it doesn't come with any batteries. You'll need 2 x AAA's for this. No SCART leads are provided either. It does have a channel list organiser, allowing you to easily delete any unwanted channels.
