What the web is saying...

Pros: Very compact design. Easy set-up.

Cons: Reliability issues - a lot of reviews talk of units being returned. Slow menu system. Small buttons on remote control.

The Bottom Line: The DTR220 has produced mixed reviews. A significant number of owners suffered with a unit that had either a short life span, or very slow menus and frequent lock-ups. However the majority were very pleased with picture quality, small size and value. Given the mixed reviews, and bearing in the mind the price range, we would recommend the updated version of this box, the Philips DTR5520 or the Grundig GUD300HD which are both capable of receiving High Definition Freeview content.
